WATER RATES - Basic Rates:

·         Water - $37.17 Water allowance is 6,000 gallons per month.  Amounts used over that allotment are billed at $2.00 per 1,000 gallons.

·         Sewer - $36.69 (stays stationary no matter how much use)

·         Storm Drain - $2.50 (stays stationary no matter how much use)

·         Note: for customers across the highway – they have “water” only: and their rates vary depending on the size of the meter. They also are not charged for sewer or storm drain, so those rates do not apply to them.

BILLING CYCLE

·         Each billing period runs from the 21^st of one month to the 20^th of the following  month.  Bills are mailed out on the “last working day of the month”.  (Example: you are always billed in arrears for actual usage - June 21^st to July 20^th use, bills mailed out last working day of the month and due on the 15^th of the following month.) (prior months use for current month billing)

·         You will see the meter readers out typically between the 18^th and 22^nd of each month.

·         Payments are due on the 15^th day of the following month.  If a new account is set up in the midst of a billing cycle, accounts are prorated at the amount of $2.60 per day.

·         If you have not made your payment by the time we “go to print” the new billing cycle there will be a $5 late fee added – plus a note letting you know that you need to notify our office, by the 6^th of the month, when you will pay the past due amount.

o   If we are not contacted – we will post a “24 hour Shut Off Notice” on your door. (There is a $10 fee for this.) – If we don’t hear from you we will shut your water off.

Payments can be made in cash, check or money order.  We do not accept visa or debit cards.

There is a payment drop box located in the parking lot.

FEES & MONTHLY NEWSLETTER

·         There is a one-time administrative fee of $15.00 applied to your first bill.

·         We put together a “Monthly Newsletter” which will be in the envelope along with any other information that the “City” wants to share that would be important to our citizens.

·         We also have a “City Website” which is at http://www.cityofadairvillage.org/

·         We also handle other items for the “City” such as, ordinance laws, building permits and other things.
